The Comedy Series Brassic Ends Its Run with Tarantino-Inspired Last Episode
The creators Joseph Gilgun and Danny Brocklehurst are bringing the curtain down on their comedy series about a tight-knit bunch of likable chancers running riot in a rural Lancashire town. You might expect the finale to be a nostalgic highlight reel of alcohol, substances, and playful theft. However, the atmosphere turns much more somber as Vinnie (Gilgun) and the gang hole up in a bar with criminal figure Davey MacDonagh for a final 50th installment apparently inspired by Quentin Tarantino.
The Show Dragons' Den
8pm, BBC One
Dancers from the ballet world enter the den this week, as single mothers Laura and Stacey present their line of adaptive dance attire – and cause Peter Jones to become flustered. Next, an eye surgeon turned inventor has a smart device for lost tape ends.
The Series All Creatures Great and Small
9pm on Channel 5
The animal-related escapades are generally good, but this superior period drama earns its corn with tender character work. An especially moving installment intertwines the tales of a lame shire horse and a missing young cow into a more serious storyline centring on the character Tristan, whose actions lead to a brotherly confrontation.
The Drama The Hack
9pm on ITV1
The journey has been lengthy. Yet the second-to-last episode of this at first slow-moving but eventually gripping phone-hacking drama sees Nick, portrayed by David Tennant discovering details about the News of the World’s conduct that the rest of the media simply can’t ignore. Things are also looking up for the character Dave, who has a surprising new ally.
RuPaul’s Drag Race UK
9pm on BBC Three
Jazz hands at the ready: it’s time to present Peter Pansy – The Musical! That means the pressure is on for the drag performers to sing, dance, act and ultimately slay as they prepare for the production. And who better to guest judge than West End stage legend Mazz Murray, alongside the panel including Graham Norton, Michelle Visage, and RuPaul.
The Series The Iris Affair
9pm, Sky Atlantic
Those with a phobia of creepy crawlies will want to skip ahead as the sixth episode starts, before something of a Mexican (or rather Sardinian) standoff ensues, when Cameron compels Iris to swap her diary for the hostaged Joy – else she’ll be “riddled with bullets” from Meski’s menacing drone … What escape plan can they devise?
